The News of our Wedding, Wedding day, and everything else in between!

Kay recently got a new job at SBC Corp, which will change the date of the Honeymoon. She is leaving customer service sales to a final billing group at a new location near DFW Airport. She has started training for this new job which will go through the full month of May. Quincy's family always travels to South Texas to play in the Frio River and vacation for roughly a week at the end of May, and it's still up in the air if Kay will be able to attend as well being brand new to the job.

Wedding Invitations were shipped off March 18, so if you did not get one, please call or email us immediately.

Kay's Shop Shower theme was the "Wineglass," as each person who attended gave one or a small set of wineglasses, to give a wide variety of different and unusual wineglasses for the future. Kay really loves wine, and all these glasses should be fun to sip many of a wonderful wine, near it now or later.

Kay's Shower at Brenda's was quite an occasion with most of the immediate family coming out to Quincy's sisters house in Duncanville, hosted by his niece Mandi. There was a cake with the couple's picture on it and a lot of special heirloom gifts were given. It was a very special occasion, although it ended quite scary, as Mike was hit by a crazed driver while trying to get home, which caused a lot of damaged to his little BMW roadster. Kay's Aunt Laura happened on the accident while going home from the shower, and alerted everyone to what had happen. Fortunately the young driver who was hanging out of his truck window seconds before the accident nor any of his passenger who were not wearing seatbelts all made it out okay. The driver also hit another truck, but was figured at going at least 70 mph when he hit Mike at an intersection near their home.

Kay's Bachelorlette Party was held April 18th. It was quite an occasion for her wedding party, friends, sorority sisters and family. About the only downfall was that Kay managed to find one of Quincy's hangouts called "The Wild Turkey," which is a small dive bar near old restaurant row in Dallas. Fortunately there were designated drivers, and she surely was not drinking wine this night. Her friends paraded her around the bar as the future bride, so she became the life of the party.

Quincy's Bachelor Party was at the Fort Worth Historical Stockyards April 25th. Adam hosted the evening that started at Risky's Steakhouse. It eventually ended up at the White Elephant Saloon. The group tried to make to this one place called Big Balls for some older-styled country music, but the owner claimed to be on a Turkey Hunt. About the only problem the group faced was a fight that broke out on the way back to the Suburban when a bunch of youth decided they wanted to start old fashion Malay on Exchange Drive. No one was hurt, and the group made it back in safely.

The wedding day is at hand! Kay and Quincy kicked off their pre-wedding celebration at The French Room in the Adolphus Hotel located in downtown Dallas. Kay was blown away with all the magnificent courses they serve, and the service was very extraordinary. By far one of the best meals the couple has had together with not a single detail missed, and a night to remember from their wait staff who tried to make the evening extra special after discovering the occasion. It was lavish and exquisite to say the least!
